Best Shopify Stores in Denmark (Part 1)
When it comes to local products, Denmark is well known for its fantastic Scandinavian design and high quality craftsmanship. But how about its ecommerce and Shopify landscape? Is quality as predominant there, too?
We wanted to find out which Shopify stores in Denmark were the best, and came up with the following list of ten. The list isn’t ranked, and also nowhere near conclusive.

Les Deux’s story started with a cross-cultural friendship between a political refugee and a prep boy. The meeting of their two contrasting styles resulted in dualistic fashion brand, “Les Deux” (French for “the Two”).
What started out with one simple t-shirt eventually became a full-blow combination of two distinct and completely different styles of clothing: that of the Ivy League prep boy and the unpretentious style of the streets. Les Deux is now sold globally at over 500 retail stores.
Aside from its retail business, the website design/development and Shopify setup by agency, 8Kilo, is top-notch worthy of a global brand like Les Deux.
2. About Vintage

Another success story based on friendship: About Vintage saw the light of day when two childhood friends decided to turn their shared passion for watches into an entrepreneurial enterprise. And so, in 2014, the humble Danish watch brand, About Vintage, was born.
The brand focuses on making simple yet spectacular timepieces. Their vision? “To be relevant today, tomorrow and beyond.” Their watches are minimalistic and modern, inspired by vintage watches, which give them that timeless feel without sacrificing on quality.
The About Vintage online store is equally simple and sturdy. Shopify agency 8Kilo did a great job upgrading the store’s initial Shopify setup, adding some amazing features like a custom engraving module, and pre-order flows for limited edition watches.
3. Shaping New Tomorrow

It’s turning out to be quite the theme in Denmark, since here we have yet another Shopify brand that started out with childhood friends - three of them, in this case. In 2015, Christoffer, Kasper, and Christian set out to change the way we think about traditional men’s apparel.
Working with family-owned factories in Portugal, Shaping New Tomorrow’s stylish menswear is handmade, comfortable and designed for every occasion, or whatever the day may bring. They have high expectations for the constantly evolving products they’re creating. To keep the price affordable, they only sell products through their own stores and website.
This means their Shopify store is essential to business success. After an initial Shopify Plus setup, SNT contacted Shopify agency Grafikr once more for a complete website overhaul. This time round, they cleaned up unnecessary code and took a more data-driven approach, optimizing UX/UI processes and tackling the issue of internationalization.
4. Barons

Barons was founded with a simple goal in mind: to create the perfect business shirt. It’s always refreshing to stumble across an ecommerce business that focuses on one thing, and one thing only. They’re bound to make a good product.
For Barons, it’s all in the details. Their shirts are refined down to the smallest details. Apart from that, they use GOTS-certified extra-long staple (ELS) Egyptian Giza cotton from the Nile river delta. And only the top 0.1% of the cotton harvest, at that.
As for their Shopify setup: Grafikr did a really good job redesigning the online store. The team at Barons got in touch to ask for help with their earlier, patchwork website. Grafikr fixed inefficient workflows and managed to turn a chaotic webshop into a coherent, focused, and uniform shopping experience
5. roccamore

Danish designer Frederikke Antonie Schmidt is on a mission to support women and inspire them with confidence. Roccamore (from the Italian roccaforte “fortress” and amore “love”) is a brand that designs high heels that are both beautiful and comfortable.
After having studied at Florence’s famous Polimoda design school, Schmidt went to work for several luxury brands, before returning home to Copenhagen, where she founded roccamore. Based on a unique insole design, roccamore heels relieve 26% of pressure from the forefoot, and 44% from the foot’s arch. All shoes are handmade in Italy.
A progressive footwear brand like roccamore deserves a top-notch Shopify store. Full-cycle development services agency, Mgroup, really went all out in updating the store and improving its checkout process.
6. ferm LIVING

It all started with ferm LIVING founder Trine Andersen not being able to find wallpaper she wanted, and deciding to design her own. Since that moment in 2005, ferm LIVING has grown to become a leading Copenhagen-based design brand when it comes to collections of furniture, accessories and lighting.
Focusing on soft forms, rich textures and curious details, ferm LIVING produces authentic items that make living spaces feel comfortable. Their mission is to celebrate and balance the contrasts in life, and to do so sustainably, with designs that are produced responsibly and products that last.
To mirror ferm LIVING’s authentic and functional design, Shopify agency Signifly built them an equally authentic and functional Shopify store. Optimized for mobile with seamless cross-platform UX and a slick B2B login postal, Signifly truly delivered. One of the better builds out there.
7. EYDA

EYDA is a Danish sportswear brand originating from the Mid Jutland Region town of Ikast. EYDA’s sportswear is suitable for all daily scenarios, its well-balanced design equally suited to grabbing a cup of coffee as it is to wear on your early morning run.
Mette Lyngholm founded the company in 2018 in an attempt to design the best and most comfortable activewear for women. If you live an active lifestyle and enjoy an intensive workout, these outfits are for you.
In 2020, the brand sought to upgrade their technical Shopify setup, and called on Shopify agency Grafikr to help them with a full redesign and redevelopment. This upgrade to Shopify Plus took EYDA from a basic store to EYDA 2.0, allowing them to scale their growth.
8. True Gum

True Gum started as a passion project between four friends in 2017, and its plastic-free gum has since grown to become a huge success all over Europe. True Gum’s chewing gum and pastilles are free from plastic, aspartame, palm-oil, plus they’re vegan and 100% biodegradable.
After considerable successes selling their product in stores all across the continent, the team at True Gum wanted to make sure their online B2C offering was just as successful. To enable this, they asked Shopify agency Black Lemon to help them migrate from WooCommerce to Shopify.
Black Lemon was able to successfully pull off this migration in less than a month. The biggest challenge was catering to True Gum’s international customer-base. They opted to create 1 store, selling products in 3 currencies and 5 languages, to cover Europe’s biggest markets.
9. Laesk Kombucha

When two friends, Eric and Line, met each other in New York and came up with the idea to revolutionize the soda business with a new brand of kombucha drinks, little did they know what was to come. Since launching Laesk Kombucha in 2016, production has increased hundredfold.
To say their kombucha business became a success is a severe understatement. And all their kombucha is still hand-brewed and fermented in the traditional way. Sugar content is kept low and no pasteurization is used.
Laesk needed a Shopify store to match the quality of their product. And the team at Shopify agency Grafikr certainly delivered. This is probably the best storytelling Shopify website we’ve ever come across. An absolute joy to navigate. Go check it out!
10. Lirum Larum Leg

Founded on a spring day in 2006 by Anja Lytzen, Lirum Larum Leg offers carefully selected quality toys for children aged 0-10, baby equipment and accessories, and furniture for your child’s room.
Lirum Larum Leg has since expanded and is currently being sold in both Denmark and Norway. In 2010, Lytzen was awarded “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” and Lirum Larum Leg won “Best Online Store” in the B2C category.
Shopify agency D.TAILS did a great job keeping that Shopify Plus store the best it can be. Since Lirum Larum Leg offers an immense range of products, navigation and filtering is essential, and something tackled very well by the D.TAILS team.
