3. Black Lemon
Signifly is a Digital Innovation Agency, specialized in moving new business models from idea to market effectively. We work with ambitious brands to enhance their digital presence. Often a solid ecommerce offering is a cornerstone of their digital brand position and service towards end-customers.
We’ve been a Shopify partner since 2013, and have one of the strongest track records as a Shopify and Shopify Plus partner in the Nordics.
We are proud to recently have launched Danish furniture brand New Works’ webshop on Shopify. They were previously on SquareSpace, but as their business grew Shopify was the more mature option.
We really loved working on this project, as we got to use the new Storefront API and create a custom single page application. This gave us total freedom on design, to make sure what we produced would match the high quality products and tactile experiences that New Works is getting their recognition for.
We see increased competition with several new and very good shop platforms. But Shopify is still a very strong player, with a very mature platform and a well-developed eco-system of apps, partner agencies and freelancers.
We’re eager to see further development on the recent Shopify Markets (multi-currency and multi-language features), as this has been one of the biggest drawbacks for major ecommerce solutions looking to Shopify for all the other things they are great at.
It’s also going to be interesting to see how Shopify competes against platforms that are natively API-based (headless ecommerce), as we will definitely be developing way more of those customised experiences in 2023.

Grafikr is a Danish ecommerce agency that focuses on combining brand and performance for fashion and lifestyle brands.
We are a strategic partner for brands that have achieved proof of concept in markets and must scale their concept internationally. This is done through a technical setup, adaptation to the market and strategy for building a brand.
The team at Grafikr builds solutions in Shopify and is the leading agency in Denmark within design, development, headless and ecommerce strategy.
One of our most recent projects was the webshop project for Læsk Kombucha.
Læsk produces kombucha in Denmark and in connection with their strategy has chosen to have their entire brand rebuilt. Here, we used the new identity and built a webshop, which creates a universe and community for the product.
The result was a very abstract design that did not interfere with the buying opportunities.
Shopify is still developing, and in the coming years we will also see a platform that will be even stronger for building brands across countries.
Shopify's current merchants are also going to change. Larger ecommerces will also join the platform. These will be different solutions from those we see today. These ecommerces will use Shopify's powerful engine for order processing, but build a headless setup so administration and customization happens on their own terms.
Ecommerce in general will start to move in a direction where one chooses technology that already exists so that one can focus on the strategy, products and marketing.

3. Black Lemon
Black Lemon is a Danish Shopify Agency building both custom and plug-and-play platforms for some of the biggest Danish companies.
We’ve been building platforms for many years in different CMS, but have throughout the last couple of years decided to specialise in Shopify. Now our goal is to become the biggest Scandinavian Shopify agency.
Performance and speed as main goals
Just recently we launched a new site for a rather big company. The platform was completely custom and the project allowed us to go above and beyond with innovative solutions to meet the client’s needs.
Now that the new site is live, we’ve seen great improvement of performance and speed, which was one of the main goals for the project.
The recent connect-to-consumer update has solved a lot of the previous requests we’ve had from our clients. This means that with the new Shopify native features, we can keep our focus on taking our clients' stores to the next level with new custom features.
The next 12 months for ecommerce are going to be both challenging and exciting. We have a lot of different projects in the pipeline which we are looking forward to.
Nicki Due-Rasmussen is CEO and Managing Director of Danish scalable ecommerce agency, Black Lemon. Find Nicki on LinkedIn.
Growbix is a digital growth agency whose purpose is to create the future winners of ecommerce. We do this by combining our expertise within digital strategy, online marketing, webdesign, and content development.
We are certified in most platforms that we are using including Facebook/Meta, Instagram, Klaviyo, Shopify, TikTok, SnapChat etc. Where we also have a close relationship with every platform.
With the combination of the above we are able to customize an ecommerce strategy specific for our clients’ ecommerce stores with the purpose of increasing the overall performance of the store.
One project we are proud of is the ongoing collaboration with Totteland, who has been setting records since we started working with them.
The idea was to create a growth strategy on different platforms, which contained conversion optimization. Based on data analysis and design know-how we created a simple webpage where the visual was key. This change actually meant that it only took 4 clicks for a visitor to convert.
In combination with paid ads, influencer marketing and email marketing, where everything was monitored and analyzed in Shopify, Totteland created their first monthly million turnover after a few months.
Sometimes you don't have to create a new brand identity or make everything be innovative. Small changes, optimization and monitoring is the key to a successful company and website. Keep an eye out for the data and analyze how that can be optimized and maintained.
Based on our data and our +50 customers then ecommerce performance overall took a fall in 2021 and 2022 compared to the prior years. Because of a change in spending behaviour because of factors such as the Russo-Ukranian War and the global stock issue.
With that being said, ecommerce is here to stay and we predict that we have only scratched the surface of the market potential.
Platforms such as Shopify are agile in keeping its agility to adapt to the user behavior. This is also the case for our own strategy.

D.TAILS is the only official Shopify Plus Partner in Denmark. But what makes us truly unique is our genuine life experience running successful webshops.
We know what works and what doesn’t – and we gladly share this knowledge with our clients while helping them solve their ecommerce challenges. We can build everything from a beautiful storefront, complex future-proof integrations and custom functionality and apps.
We take pride in building shops that give our clients happy customers and happy employees!
One of our favorites projects was building the B2B shop for Fusion, a Danish sportswear brand. We made a fantastic B2B-solution that is both easy to use on a day to day basis and highly scalable.
We are fortunate to work with some very talented companies that show rapid growth. Making sure what we build is scalable and intuitive is extremely important for them and us.
The future is all about profitability. In times like these, with so much uncertainty, we predict less focus on artsy-fartsy design and add-ons and more focus on actually building a reliable shop that makes a solid profit.
The key is to make the complex simple. Cut away the unnecessary stuff, and make sure your shop actually fulfils the needs of your customers.

Vitalmedia is a Shopify agency that specializes in conversion optimization for Shopify store-owners. But of course we can - and we do - more than just that.
We are one of the few certified experts in the Danish market, and are Shopify partners, as well.
Besides helping Shopify owners with their conversion rate optimization, we also build stores completely from scratching, with custom-coding as well as fixing any bugs and errors that might occur.
Apart from that we also help with setting up all necessary ecommerce systems, which is requirement for outstanding. We assist with the setup of shipment systems, payment systems and so on.
Our most recent and so far favorite Shopify project was for Sneakerzone, primarily because we added some really hardcore functions and details to their setup.
We ensured that we tailored the shop completely as to how the owner wanted it, but we also made sure we gave professional advice regarding the possibilities for really improving their store and its conversion rates.
We only have positive predictions to offer, to be honest. Shopify is a system with great developmental growth - we've seen this growth crystallize year over year.
They focus on growing their platform, especially when it comes to building out new functionality, support, the theme store and so forth and so on. This truly makes the Shopify ecosystem one of the best within the ecommerce world.
Of course, we have an issue with the current global economic situation, but besides that, at Vitalmedia, we're 100% sure that ecommerce in general is the way to go when it comes to digital business strategies.
For supporting ecommerce growth, I'm unaware of a better system than Shopify. And it will only get better from now on.

We are proud to showcase our recent store launch for the Danish furniture & interior brand Nordal. It all started out with support of their migration from another Ecommerce platform, a custom design and development process took over including a thorough refinement of their entire digital setup.
We are fortunate to continue our collaboration with the Danish Shopify Plus brand in multiple digital action areas such as conversion optimization, direct email marketing setup & flows in Klaviyo, as well as technical SEO and SEO copywriting.
Additionally, we have now also launched Nordal’s wholesale store also tailored in Shopify.
Even though the market today continues to be marked by a challenged supply chain, war and inflation we predict a new strong recovery in the direct to consumer market.
For brands it is no longer adequate simply being present online. This is why we empower our brands through unique shopping experiences and across the crucial areas of SEO, local and global Ecommerce and direct email marketing in Klaviyo.
We expect Shopify to launch even more features and collabs minded at full circle Ecommerce, and they will probably still be growing worldwide in the year to come.

MCB consists of a team of 65 colleagues working at offices in Holstebro and Hanoi. Every single day, the team at MCB strives for their customers to have success online.
We do this, among other things, by delivering the market's best, cloud-based e-commerce and web solutions to our customers.
But we are much more than just a supplier - we see ourselves as a close collaboration partner for our customers, where we quite naturally challenge the strategy and help realize the potential based on our many years of hands-on experience from the industry.
Our favourite recent client project would have to be DonebyDeer - because the company has ambitions to become an internationally recognized brand with direct sales to the end consumer.
Therefore, it was time for a new webshop to take on that task. The platform became Shopify, with MCB as provider.
Shopify will surely keep building new add-ons into the themes and become more and more flexible. All the small elements will become better and better. Think of things like search function, the filter function. We also expect AI solutions to become way more prevalent in the Shopify ecosystem.
